Whitwell Eco-Lodges

Situated on the edge of a rural village in the heart of Rutland Water wildlife reserve, the lodges have been carefully designed to fit within the surrounding landscape while utilising, and responding to, the specific climatic conditions of the site. Through the integration of passive and non passive sustainable approaches, the scheme aims to create an environmentally and economically sustainable development through enhancing the local economy and encouraging the growth of local businesses, while providing environmental educational and information facilities for the local and wider communities.
